WHAT CAN I DURACOAT?
DuraCoat adheres to almost any surface and finish- Blued steel, aluminum, polymers, polycarbonate, hard anodized and even parkerized finishes and wood! About the only thing that can’t be coated is chrome.
IS IT CORROSION RESISTANT?
Absolutely. As long as the finish is intact, a DuraCoated product will not rust, even in a saltwater environment. DuraCoat gets tougher as it ages- it “wears in”, not “wears out”.
JUST FIREARMS? WHAT ABOUT A KNIFE?
You name it, we’ll coat it. Knives, rifles, pistols, non-chrome motorcycle parts, helmets- just about anything. Chrome parts will need to be de-plated.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Once it’s returned to you, the item is ready for use. DuraCoat achieves its final hardness, elasticity, and chemical resistance after 4 to 6 weeks, but the item can be used right away.
I LIKE TO ROCK AND ROLL WITH MY MACHINE GUN.
Not a problem. DuraHeat is another product that is oven-cured and resists temperatures of up to 1800∘ F.
WHAT COLORS ARE AVAILABLE?
DuraCoat comes in 145 different colors and can be blended to match any color!
CAMO PATTERNS TOO?
Absolutely. There are 25 different camouflage patterns to choose from; from practical tactical to wild. And, if you’ve got a particular camo pattern in mind, show it to us- we may be able to duplicate it.
DIFFERENT FINISHES?
You bet- matte, satin, or gloss. The base DuraCoat is a very matte finish; a satin or gloss clearcoat is available at an extra charge. For items that will see a lot of extended exposure to sunlight, there is also a UV-resistant hardener to prevent color fade.
WHY “HARD ROCK CANDY”?
We can’t help it. We’ve seen too many of the classics- Outlaw Josey Wales, Kelly’s Heroes, Blazing Saddles- so many times that we constantly quote them. If you don’t understand the quote, all we can say is rent these classics… then drink some wine, eat some cheese, and soak up the rays. |
